TWO DAYS IN A ROW...

Pee Wee Ellis is another great cat (that I had the oppoürtunity to work with) and it was an enjoyable funky time [as usual] watching him play last night and hanging out. For those that don´t of him Pee Wee was a bandleader for James Brown (who wrote a couple of hits for including ´Cold Sweat´) and later Van Morrison. He sang happy birthday to James Brown last night as well (I could swear heard someone on stage sing `Happy Birthday, you Mother F****r')

Back in Hamburg

Having played with him nearly 20 years ago, had a chance to hang with Archie Shepp performing at FABRIK last night. He´s sounding better than ever...

Check out his website.

"Negro music and culture are intrinsically improvisational, existential. Nothing is sacred."
